Following down the N55 from Athlone to Ballymahon you will pass the village of Glasson, keep on straight until you reach Tuberclare, the map below will help to show where your Self-catering and Guesthouse accommodation are situated. Glasson has a various pubs and resteraunts,a petrol station, post office and a shop which can supply all of your basic shopping requirements, and the major town of Athlone is just a 15 minute drive up the road.
Towards ballymahon is a very old Pub 'Murrays' at Maghera. Owned and Run by the Murray family for three generation this is one of the oldest tradition pubs left in Ireland and has excellent music on Thursday and Sunday nights.
Portlick Castle is situated locally and is a famous spot for weddings.
There are both Catholic and Church of Ireland Churches nearby as well.
