Fishing Information

Ireland has always been renowned for its fishing and for good reason, whether the quiet beautiful ponds are your thing or the huge rivers and lakes that cover the whole county there is always room to spare and fish to be caught.

From 30lb+ Pike to 3lb+ Roach and of course the hope of finding one of the huge Bream shoals that this region is famous for - anglers from accross the world have always flocked to Ireland and many anglers have said that their very best days fishing have been had in the Irish waters.

Very close-by there is Lough Ree a huge sprawling lough that measures approximately 17 miles in length and 6 miles in width. Many very large catches have come from this lough, and there are boats for hire if trout and pike are your chosen targets.

The Famous River Inny is only a 10 minute drive and offers fantastic scenery along with a huge range of fish including, Bream, Hybrids, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Trout, Salmon, Gudgeon and recently Chubb have been reported as well. There is also the Royal canal where Large Tench are caught regularly.
